Combat's Service Department Difference
- Combat does not allow third (3rd) parties to repair its customer's defective industrial batteries. All work is done in-house by qualified Combat-factory trained technicians
- Combat's own fleet of service trucks means no outside transport companies involved
- Warehouse equipped with latest technology: Discharge machines, Forming Chargers, etc. Allows fast, accurate analysis
- Any industrial battery or charger in for repair subject to 20-point inspection and repair procedure. Customers receive printed checklist signed off by technician and dated.
- Well coordinated communications between service technicians and sales department. Nothing gets lost in the pipeline
- Accurate, up-to-date records are kept of all service calls, units' performance, overall service history, batteries, charger sales transactions
- Service technicians have an average of 18 years of experience in industrial forklift battery/charger repair, battery room construction and industrial battery manufacture
All service technicians graduate from The Combat Apprenticeship Program.
The Combat Apprenticeship Program Involves:
- Progressive learning path: Initially, fundamentals are covered and then more technical subject matter introduced along with related tasks
- Ongoing testing conducted via spoken and written evaluations
- At least a month spent in the factory learning how the product works from the ground up - from building a battery to final stage, quality control
- A month spent on the road, with full-time field technician, learning about preventative maintenance procedures, safety precautions and possible problems that can arise
- Shop floor shadowing, and, as final test, apprentice must "Train the trainer" before being allowed to visit a client by themselves or work independently on a customer's battery or charger
